CaPa: Carve-n-Paint Synthesis for Efficient 4K Textured Mesh Generation
Project Overview
This project introduces CaPa (Carve-n-Paint Synthesis), a groundbreaking method designed for the rapid generation of high-fidelity 4K textured 3D meshes. Addressing the challenges of time-consuming and resource-intensive traditional 3D asset creation pipelines, CaPa delivers production-ready assets in under 30 seconds. This efficiency and quality make CaPa ideally suited for demanding commercial applications across game development, movie production, and VR/AR experiences.
CaPa achieves this remarkable performance through a novel two-stage approach: Carving (shape synthesis) and Painting (texture synthesis). The Carving stage focuses on efficiently constructing the 3D mesh geometry, while the Painting stage synthesizes and applies a detailed 4K texture to the carved mesh. This synergistic process allows for the creation of visually stunning and highly detailed 3D assets with unprecedented speed and efficiency.
